Long COVID / Chronic COVID
People with Chronic COVID or long COVID, or “long-haulers,” are COVID-19 survivors but they have persistent symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, headaches, palpitations, and impairments in mental health and cognition and in addition to many other symptoms. Chronic COVID is increasingly recognized as a public health crisis.
It’s estimated to affect as many as 30 percent of the millions who have suffered a COVID infection, even when the infection was considered to be mild. New research conducted by renowned pathologist Dr. Bruce Patterson and his team is helping to uncover the underlying immunologic causes of Chronic COVID.
Radiance Diagnostics has partnered with Dr. Patterson and his team at IncellDx and Chronic COVID treatment center and offer the following specialty testing to help recover from Chronic COVID condition.
Cytokines 14 Panel
The Cytokines 14 Panel measures 14 cytokine markers from plasma to quantitatively measure the levels of critical Cytokine in inflammation representing multiple immune pathways. The test includes following cytokines markers along with long hauler index: TNF-alpha, IL-4, IL-13, IL-2, GM-CSF, sCD40L, CCL5 (RANTES), CCL3 (MIP-1alpha), IL-6, IL-10, IFN-gamma, VEGF, IL-8, CCL4(MIP-1beta).
COV-2 S1 Immune Subset Panel
The COV-2 S1 Immune Subset Panel quantifies important immune cell subsets in acute and long COVID including the persistence of S1 protein that is found in monocyte subsets in long COVID. The test includes the following markers: CD4%, CD8%, and CD4/CD8 ratio for assessment of immune status. Classical, Intermediate, Non-Classical Monocyte Quantification involved in viral and post-viral conditions. Quantification of SARS-CoV-2 S1 Protein Containing Monocytes
